Ireland - West Coast - Killaloe

The font is from the 1200s and is carved with a typical cross and foliage design. The original legs have been lost. It was set up on this current base by Bishop Mant in 1821. The east window is 11m high and 5m wide with intricate designs carved into the stonework of the 3 arches. The stained glass windows were erected in the stone arches in 1856 and depict Christ surrounded by his 12 apostles.
